Pisanie by Wokinger Czw 10 Maj 2012, 21:43

O co w tym wszystkim chodzi? Najpierw powtarzamy, a potem nie jedziemy? Dlaczego osoby biorące udział w lidze robią wszystko, by zniszczyć ligę? No, ale dlaczego go nie poprawiono w takim razie? Mniejsza o to. Podobnie CalusS i Bulbinek.

Anyway, can I have recording please?

Zawodnicy, którzy zjechali do boksów zrobili to, bo chcieli.

Still not a reason to rerun a GP.. there is NEVER a reason to rerun anything. You CANNOT just forget everything that has already happened. Same with Q2 - I felt awful getting pole, that I did not deserve - my time was slower than Pingus! You must drop the "rerun" idea, otherwise you will quickly lose players.

Basically, people put time and effort into racing - its completely unacceptable to just say it doesn't matter, and redo it because of one persons mistake. And like I said, using Domans logic we clearly should rerun every race in the season where someone has lag issues - I didn't choose to go 3 laps behind in Montreal!

Maybe you should write in the rules a ban of this then, in future? It should be possible to pause and continue races from the same point, or the same with qualifying - for instance if you quit too early, giving those that didnt complete their laps one extra lap.

Or if the server disconnects on lap 10/20 of a race, the race could restart with new tyres (like F1 red flag) and the same fuel as before, with 10 laps to go.

one of my suggestion has been and still is, taking the first race result with at least 2 changes:

Position
01 Mike Nike
02 Doman (he woulda been 2nd very likely without missing the lap)
03 Wokinger
04 Pingu
05 Shyguy (for not letting Caluss pass in the beginning he gets punished by at least 3 seconds for totaltime result :P)
06 lanz
07 KryHmen
08 Szymek66
09 arsen36
10 CalusS
11 popowitch

-----------------

about the q2 rerun: maybe jonno was still on a good lap, so it woulda been fair to do a q3 of 2 laps, just for jonno and all others do not drive
new rerun race rules: reruns should be still possible, for example if server crashes in first laps or so. either way, the rerun decision was published so late that shyguy told me it is too late to get the council vote for my suggestion (maybe the council did).
either way, please do not forget to put up a rule, like: "everyone has the chance to see bugs in editor and it is own fault if they do not look up and miss a lap" or something similar.

and something personal: i probably skip taking part at this season, if the rerun will be counted 25 pts strike, 18 caluss etc.. i haven't decided yet though.

I agree with most Mike wrote, exceeding one exception:
either way, please do not forget to put up a rule, like: "everyone has the chance to see bugs in editor and it is own fault if they do not look up and miss a lap" or something similar.
It's stupid! So drivers have to go to editor and watch the track before every race to be sure where checkpoints are? And in race, for example, drive backwards if they did mistake and aren't sure if they missed it or not? Crazy :). Even after making huge mistake it should be impossible to miss a checkpoint. Missing checkpoints can happen only if somebody intentionally cut the curves and these cuts are very big - but also in this situation it's not necessary, cutting person will be penalised after the race anyway:).

In general, I think that special rules are not necessary. It was first and probaby last situation like that in the history of League, making new rules only force new drivers to read more :D. Remeber that last point in rules says that in situations that are not included, Council have to decide what to do - this time maybe decision was bad because everybody was surprised about situation, but I'm sure next time it won't be.

Mike, you can't just "remove" mistakes from the equation, thats an even worse idea than a rerun!! Also Pingu clearly stated he didn't want to swap our positions, so who would punishing me actually benefit? Sorry but mistakes/issues are part of motor racing - think of Nelson Piquet fixing the Singapore GP 08, which in the long term results in Felipe Massa losing the championship - they weren't going to give Massa the win because he "probably" would of been there if he hadn't made a mistake! That's crazy!

im not totally sure what you mean, but...it sounds like you misunderstood me.
facts are:
- i checked the tracks checklines before the race (oversaw the possibility to miss a lap)
- i sent my report to wokinger (eh..was it woki? :E ^^)
- doman knew or did not know that the track was proven by me.
- doman missed a lap by driving mistake, lag or whatever reason..

lets assume doman thought the track was checked for errors.
in my opinion, the track author, wokinger and me are at least part guilty for doman missing a lap.
if doman gets told the track is safe and he believes in it and he misses a lap, i wouldnt like to call it domans mistake.

"Also Pingu clearly stated he didn't want to swap our positions, so who would punishing me actually benefit?"

well...pingu would benefit from it :P and his team muhaha
anyway, didnt caluss say you had to wait for him, shy?
also it is more fair if you get the accurate punishment. not more not less..
if i dont let pass all in monaco in lap 1, i get 1 pt more in the end maybe, by passing pingu.
you didnt wait for all and get 1 position better due to that (likely) - doesnt sound fair.
so...: justice would benefit in this case, i guess :P

No, me and Pingu talked and I offered to swap positions and he said he didn't want that.. after all, I caused him to fly @ chicane in race (maybe, maybe not its 50/50), but he definitely caused it to happen to me in qualifying by talking :D I apologized to CalusS, but fact is giving me a punishment like this in that situation actually benefits no-one.. Me and Pingu have a certain mutual respect, I felt awful about being given his pole position for this race!

Doman hit the UBS kerb and flew over the track.. normal situation if theres a bad checkline should be simply to work out what position the player is in if he hadnt missed it.. and for Doman, this is not 2nd. You can't award anyone more points than they earned - the point of racing is to find out who is fastest over a particular distance, not the fairest result - otherwise I would of had much better results in Monaco, Valencia, Montreal!

people who prefer to not make sure they let all pass, they have to let pass, will benefit from that.
was a rule added yet, by the way? that you dont have to wait if someone you have to let pass, doesnt hurry?

and concerning doman, i thought i actually did work out what position he would have had if he hadnt missed the checkline. most likely 2nd place.

But it's hard to rate is anyone hurry or slowly, because if I am fifth in marquee to overtake I can;t do it faster than person who is third in marquee, I need some seconds to overtake, so in my opinion that is hard to rate...
